This team is assisting regional manufacturing small to mid-size enterprises (SMEs) to identify, develop, produce, and market energy efficient building components and systems, and expand participation of these firms in the supply chains of global original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) that produce energy efficient building systems.
The Integrated Solutions Showcase Series For Advanced Energy Retrofits
The EEB Hub aims to achieve dramatic increases in energy efficiency in buildings by developing and demonstrating market proven integrated whole building solutions to achieve energy savings. The Hub demonstrates energy saving technologies and systems in buildings at the Navy yard and elsewhere in the region, measures results, and feeds those results back to continue to optimize whole building solutions.

Early Engagement: Rhoads Industries is a manufacturer of machined parts for large ships, a provider of industrial services and possesses heavy fabrication abilities. Rhoads has had a presence at The Navy Yard since 2003, and they and they are now headquartered there, employing 125 people. In the summer of 2011, they purchased several additional Navy Yard buildings near the waterfront. Rhoads is also a long-standing client of the Delaware Valley Industrial Resource Center (DVIRC).
