Architecture and Energy Efficient Buildings
Does energy consumption influence architectural style? Should more energy-efficient buildings look different and can that look be used to explain or enhance their performance? The team will examine and answer these questions and the role of architecture in expressing the consumption of energy.
Energy Saving Through Social Media/Serious Games
This project investigates how interactive social media shape and contribute to individuals' abilities to self-regulate, adapt, and modify their energy use behavior. We explore how tools based on these principles can be incorporated into building design and management to promote efficiencies in occupant energy use behavior, including enhanced receptivity to local energy conservation initiatives and sustained reductions in daily energy consumption.Read More
